Feng Shui 風水 by fotosbyfaj

Feng Shui is the art of shaping space so that energy can move with ease. It’s about balance, clarity, and creating environments that feel calm, intentional, and quietly alive. Over time, I’ve come to see how photography can support this process. A single image can shift the mood of a room, redirect its energy, or introduce an element that’s missing.

Feng Shui isn’t just interior design — it’s a way of seeing.

I pay attention to:

  • the movement of light

  • the balance between emptiness and presence

  • the emotional temperature of a room

  • the subtle energy created by colour, texture, and shape

Photography becomes a way of noticing these quiet forces. A photograph can reveal what the eye overlooks, and it can help restore harmony where a space feels stagnant or unsettled.

Every image I create is shaped by light, balance, and intention. Many of my photographs naturally align with Feng Shui principles — especially those that explore:

  • stillness

  • movement

  • natural textures

  • quiet abstraction

  • the relationship between light and shadow

Choosing the right image for the right element can transform the energy of a room without changing anything else.

Below are examples of my photos under the five elements of Earth, Fire, Metal, Water and Wood and I will be building up a library of photos that fall into each category.

Stability & Grounding

Fire
Energy & Passion

Metal
Clarity & Precision

In Feng Shui, Fire brings motivation and joy. It awakens the spirit, encourages connection, and helps transform ideas into action. Placed in a living room or creative space, this image radiates a quiet strength. A reminder that light is not only seen but felt.

Its glow balances the room’s energy, inviting warmth without overwhelm, and turning stillness into gentle momentum.

Water
Flow & Emotion

Wood
Growth & Vitality
